Our School
Mount Salem Christian School is an interdenominational Christian school offering quality education from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 9.
Currently we are using the facilities graciously made available to us by the Mt. Salem Community Church, located approximately 15 kilometers southeast of Aylmer, Ontario.
At Mount Salem Christian School, our motto is “Learning to Trust” (Proverbs 3:5-6). It is the sincere desire of the directors and staff that each student who passes through our doors will learn to build his or her life on the sure foundation of the Word of God.
As our students prepare for the future as productive citizens in our society, we trust they are building into their lives a commitment to God, His Word, and Biblical moral standards.
Our educational curriculum is rich in Christian values, and promotes academic excellence with a Biblical world view. The school is administered by a Board of Directors who are chosen and elected by our Parent Association. Parents or guardians of enrolled students who are in agreement with Articles II & III of our Constitution and who have had their application for membership approved by the Board, are eligible to become members of the Parent Association, which meets twice a year.
Mount Salem Christian School is funded solely by tuition paid by parents and donations received from interested people and groups, receiving no government funding. MSCS has had a Ministry of Education BSID number since opening its doors in 1987 and is listed as a private school on the Ministry website. MSCS is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and the Canadian Council of Christian Charities (CCCC).
Our Staff
Our staff at MSCS care deeply about each student and form partnerships with the parents to educate the whole child. Teachers affirm the importance of education, while coaching and encouraging students to take ownership of their own academic success.
