Purpose & Mission

Our mission at MSCS is to provide a high level of Bible-based academic instruction, and to partner with parents as we educate 'the whole child'; equipping and training the student for a life of obedience to his calling in this world as an image-bearer of Jesus Christ.

Mount Salem Christian School is an interdenominational Christian school offering quality, Christ-center ededucation from Junior Kindergarten through High School. Located at 6560 Springfield Drive, approximately 15 kilometres southeast of Aylmer, Ontario, our campus provides a safe and purposeful learning environment for students and families.

Our school operates out of a newly constructed facility (2024) designed to support both academic excellence and community life. The main building includes: 12 classrooms within the educational wing, a large gymnasium, a 300-seat chapel, and a full kitchen. Our high school program is housed in four portable buildings, providing seven additional classrooms.
Our motto, “Learning to Trust” (Proverbs 3:5–6), reflects our sincere desire that every student who passes through our doors learns to trust the Lord and build their life on the sure foundation of the Word of God. All learning at Mount Salem is shaped by this biblical vision.

We are governed by a Board of Directors elected by our Parent Association, which meets twice annually. Parents and guardians of enrolled students who agree with our constitution and are approved by the Board may become members of the Parent Association, reflecting our strong commitment to partnership between home and school.

MSCS is funded entirely through parent tuition and charitable donations, receiving no government funding. Established in 1987 we hold a Ministry of Education BSID number, are listed as a private school with the Ontario Ministry of Education, are members of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and the Canadian Council of Christian Charities (CCCC)

What sets Mount Salem Christian School apart is our culture of community and care for the whole child.

We understand that families are entrusting us with what matters most, and we take that responsibility seriously. Through smaller class sizes and strong relationships, students are truly known, supported, and encouraged to grow academically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Our motto, “Learning to Trust,” shapes daily life at our school as students learn to trust the Lord, their teachers, and the community around them. We intentionally cultivate a safe and nurturing environment where faith and character are formed through everyday interactions. Our prayer and purpose is to walk alongside families as we help students grow in wisdom and maturity, seeking to present each child mature in Christ.

Mount Salem Christian School offers Christ-centered education from Junior Kindergarten through High School, providing a strong academic foundation in a supportive and faith-filled community. We offer both full-time and part-time Junior Kindergarten and Senior Kindergarten.

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21).
We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:1, Matthew 28:19, John10:30).

We believe in the deity of Christ (John 10:33), His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23, Luke 1:35), His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15, 7:26), His miracles (John 2:11), His vicarious and atoning death (l Corinthians 15:3, Ephesians 1:7, Hebrews 2:9), His Resurrection (John 11:25,1 Corinthians 15:4), His Ascension to the right hand of God (Mark 16:19), and His personal return in power and glory (Acts 1:11, Revelation 19:11).

We believe in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature and that men are justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ and that only by God’s grace and through faith alone are we saved (John 3:16–19, 5:24; Romans 3:23, 5:8–9; Ephesians 2:8–10; Titus 3:5).

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of condemnation (John 5:28–29).

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 8:9, 1 Corinthians 12:12–13, Galatians 3:26–28).

We believe in the present ministry of the HolySpirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life (Romans 8:13–14; 1 Corinthians 3:16, 6:19–20; Ephesians 4:30, 5:18).
