Choosing a school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will make. We are honoured that you are considering Mount Salem Christian School and the opportunity to partner with your family in your child’s education. Entrusting your child to a school community is significant, and we approach that responsibility with care, prayer, and gratitude.
We would love to meet you, give you a tour of our campus, and answer any questions you may have as you explore whether MSCS is the right fit for your family.
Enrollment Process
We accept applications for enrollment throughout the year for all grade levels, fromJunior Kindergarten through High School. Our admissions process is designed to be clear and straightforward, helping families feel informed and supported every step of the way. We want both parents and students to experience a smooth transition into our school community.
At the same time, our process allows us to thoughtfully assess how we can best support your child’s learning needs and ensure that prospective families understand and support our commitment to Christ-centred education. Our goal is a partnership built on clarity, trust,and a shared vision for your child’s growth—academically, spiritually, and socially.
1. Explore
Begin by reviewing the information available on our website. As you learn more about Mount Salem Christian School, we encourage you to reach out with any questions you may have. We are happy to help you determine whether MSCS may be a good fit for your family.
2. Book a Tour
Schedule a tour using the form below or by contacting the school office by phone or email. Visiting in person allows you to experience the daily life of our school community, observe classrooms, and ask questions face-to-face. It also provides an opportunity for our administrative team to begin getting to know your family and better understand your child’s educational needs.
3. Apply
Following your tour, you will receive an application package. When you are ready to proceed, submit the completed application along with the $150 non-refundable application fee to the school office.
4. Review & Decision
Each application is carefully reviewed by our admissions committee with the goal of establishing a strong and successful partnership between home and school. Admission decisions are based on three primary considerations:
○ Availability of space within the requested grade level
○ The school’s ability to support the student’s learning needs
○ Alignment between the family’s values and our commitment to Christ-centred education
Our desire is to admit students who will flourish within our community—academically, spiritually, and socially.
High School Transfers
We welcome transferstudents into our high school program and are committed to making thetransition as smooth as possible. Because our high school operates on asemester schedule, the ideal time to enroll is at the start of a new semester.However, if space and scheduling allow, we are also willing to considertransfers during a semester.
As high school students earn credits toward graduation, we carefully review transcripts and previous coursework during the admissions process. Eligible credits may be transferred and applied toward MSCS graduation requirements. Our administrative team will communicate clearly with families regarding course placement and how prior studies align with our program.
We also recognize that transferring in high school can feel significant socially. Our staff intentionally work to help new students feel welcomed, supported, and connected as they become part of our Christ-centred community.
